PAUL MACH - DOUBLE BASS

Paul March graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Double Bass performance in 1994. During his studies he performed 2 summer seasons with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and one summer with the Utah Chamber Music Festival. He went on to play 3 seasons with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra in Spain followed by a further 3 seasons with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in South Africa. Since his return to Canada, he has and continues to perform with various groups including the l’Orchestre Symphonique de Gatineau, Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, Opera Lyra Orchestra, Orchestra of Northern New York, and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. He has also explored other genres of music including Tango, Klezmer and French songs, as well as assisting his father Peter Mach in his luthier shop.
