Janusz Rothbard, Pianist Born in Poland, Janusz Rothbard placed third at the National Young Pianist Competition in Warsaw in 1969. He holds an MFA from the Krakow Music Conservatory in Poland. After graduation, he collaborated with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and ballet companies throughout Poland. During this time he also taught piano, and many of his students have since become successful musicians. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Vienna, accompanying various opera singers. He arrived in Canada in 1989 and has since worked with the National Ballet School in Toronto, L'Ecole Superieure de Danse du Quebec, the Ottawa Ballet, Canterbury High School, the Quinte Ballet School in Belleville, Greta Leeming Studio of Dance, and the summer program at the National Centre for the Arts in Banff, Alberta. |
